Osteopathy has been an established system of healthcare for well over a hundred years, assessing, treating and preventing a wide range of health problems. We use a combination of movement, stretching, targeted deep tissue massage and manipulation of a muscles and joints to improve function, relieve pain and aid recovery.

As Osteopaths we respect the body’s natural ability to maintain itself in balance. With the combination of hands-on treatment, exercise and lifestyle advice, an Osteopath can promote restoration of normal function throughout the body.
Osteopathy stimulates the bodies self-healing in 3 areas; parietal (bones, muscles, fascia, nerves), visceral (internal organs), and craniosacral (skull, spinal cord and sacrum).
What conditions can an Osteopath help to treat:
Impairment of the joints such as impingement syndrome, knee problems, arthritis, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome and back pain.
Internal disorders such as irritable bowel, heartburn, circulation problems, high blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, as well as digestive or gynecological conditions
General ailments such as fatigue, sleep disorders, migraine, burn out and tinnitus.

Luise Marie Haarmann, born in Berlin, completed her five-year master’s degree in osteopathy at OSD Berlin in 2019. Her understanding of seeing the body holistically and recognising connections is supported by her practice of yoga and Crossfit.
Luise Marie Haarmann’s heart’s desire is to help her patients develop an awareness of the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit and the body’s ability to bring itself back into balance.

trained in rhythmic rubs and massage therapy
Marjatta Janisz, born on Lake Constance, came to Berlin in 2015 to study osteopathy, from which she graduated with a Master of Science in 2021. At the age of 15, she started taking courses in rhythmic rubbing in anthroposophical medicine and has been working with people in manual therapy ever since. This work led her to osteopathy and other alternative healing methods, which she continues to develop with the help of further training, seminars and her own work.
It is important to Marjatta Janisz to look at and treat people in their entirety - on a physical, mental and spiritual level. With the focus on the causes of the problems, she approaches treatment from a variety of areas in osteopathy. It is also important to her to guide and motivate the patients to actively do something good for their own health through movement exercises, nutrition and lifestyle. To this end, she incorporates aspects of yoga and capoeira, which she practices passionately. It is close to her heart to accompany people on their way to an inner balance.
Stella Schermer, born in Vienna, moved to Berlin in 2014. Here she completed her state examination in physiotherapy in 2017. While gaining patient experience in various practices with different focuses, she simultaneously began studying osteopathy at OSD Berlin. Stella Schermer will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Osteopathy in 2023. The various further training courses such as advanced training in manual lymphatic drainage, training as a nutritionist and training as a Pilates trainer complement her range of treatments and her holistic approach. In 2021, she passed the Heilpraktiker examination at the Lichtenberg Health Office in Berlin.
For Stella Schermer, the key to health lies in finding joy in movement and trust in the body and its strengths. Injuries and operations set Stella Schermer on this path and gave her a deeper, personal understanding what healing means and what osteopathy can achieve. In addition to osteopathy, her passion lies in Pilates and weight training. Therefore, osteopathy and movement training are the building blocks of Stella Schermer’s holistic treatment method.
